Wagering Requirements: Doing the Sum Before You Claim

Turnover multiples are simple arithmetic that almost nobody performs before accepting an offer. Ten minutes with a calculator settles whether a promotion is worth the constraints it brings.

Independent commentary on Cazeus, written in Slovenia. This portal sets no requirements and holds no balances.

The basic calculation

A wagering requirement is the total value of bets that must be placed before a promotional balance and its winnings become withdrawable. It is expressed as a multiple, and it is applied either to the bonus alone or to the bonus plus the deposit that triggered it. Which base applies is the first thing to establish, because the second model roughly doubles the work for the same headline multiple.

Turnover is measured in stakes, not in losses. A hundred spins at a euro produce a hundred euros of turnover regardless of whether the balance grew or shrank along the way. That distinction is what makes requirements clearable at all: money recycled through winning rounds counts again each time it is staked.

Weighting is where the task really grows

CategoryTypical contributionEffect on a 3,000 € target
SlotsFull value3,000 € of stakes
RouletteA small fractionSeveral times the nominal target
BlackjackA small fraction or nilOften impractical to clear at all
Live tablesReduced or excludedPlay may not register on the counter

The contribution figures shown by a given promotion are the binding ones; the column above describes the general market pattern rather than any specific Cazeus offer. What holds everywhere is the direction of travel: the further from slots you play, the larger the real requirement becomes.

Worked through, step by step

  1. Establish the base: bonus only, or bonus plus deposit.
  2. Multiply. A 100 € bonus at thirty is 3,000 € of turnover.
  3. Divide by the contribution rate of the games you actually play.
  4. Divide again by your usual stake to get a number of rounds.
  5. Compare that number against the days remaining before expiry.

If the result implies a pace you would not otherwise play at, the offer is not worth claiming. That single test disqualifies a large share of promotions before any money is committed, and it costs nothing to apply.

The stake ceiling, and why it exists

While a bonus is unreleased, each individual bet is capped. The purpose is to stop a player from converting a promotional balance into one large, low-variance wager, and the enforcement is unforgiving: a single bet above the ceiling can void the entire balance on most platforms, including any winnings attached to it. Anyone who normally stakes several euros a spin should check the cap before the first round rather than after the counter stops moving.

Slovenian context

Requirements on Cazeus are denominated in euros, which makes the arithmetic straightforward from Slovenia. It also has to be said that no Slovenian authority stands behind the calculation. Online concessions here are issued only to companies established in Slovenia, in practice Loterija Slovenije and the Casino Portorož and HIT group, and Cazeus is outside that system; FURS supervises gambling and blocks unlicensed domains, but it does not audit a foreign operator's bonus counter. Keeping a record of the terms and of the counter's progress is therefore the player's own responsibility, and the escalation route is described under complaints. Once a requirement is cleared, the payout mechanics are covered under withdrawals, and the clauses surrounding the requirement itself under bonus terms.

Common questions

How is a wagering requirement calculated?
Multiply the bonus by the stated multiple, then adjust for game weighting. A 50 € bonus at a multiple of thirty is 1,500 € of turnover on games counting at full value, and ten times that on games counting at a tenth.
Does turnover mean money staked or money lost?
Money staked. Every euro placed as a bet counts once towards the target, whether the round wins or loses. That is why a player can meet a large requirement without losing anything close to the same amount, and also why the counter moves slowly on tables with low contribution.
Where can the remaining requirement be seen?
In the active bonus panel of the account, which normally shows the amount still to be wagered and the deadline. When it does not, support can supply the figure, and asking for it in writing is worth the extra minute.
Can a requirement be cleared faster by raising stakes?
Only up to the stake ceiling, and the ceiling is precisely what makes the strategy dangerous. Larger bets also raise variance, so the balance is more likely to be gone before the turnover target is reached.
