Bank Transfer: The Slowest Route and the Most Traceable
Nothing about a bank transfer is quick, and that is rather the point. Every movement is visible in your own statement, with no wallet or intermediary standing between the account and the platform.
An independent guide to Cazeus written in Slovenia. This portal receives no transfers and holds no accounts.
How the route works from Slovenia
A deposit by transfer means instructing your own bank to send euros to the account details the cashier displays, either through the domestic UPN order that Slovenian banks use as standard or through an ordinary SEPA credit transfer. The mechanics are identical to paying an invoice: an IBAN, an amount, and a reference that identifies the payment. There is no card network in the middle and no wallet taking a cut, which is why the fees are the ones your own bank charges rather than anybody else's.
Timing follows banking practice rather than platform speed. Euro payments settle on working days, instant schemes apply only where both banks support them, and nothing at all moves over a weekend or a public holiday. A transfer instructed late on Friday is a Monday event, and no amount of contact with support changes that.
The reference is the whole transaction
Every deposit by transfer is matched to an account through the reference the cashier issues. Retype it and the payment arrives at the operator's bank without any way to attribute it, at which point it waits for manual reconciliation. Copying the string exactly, adding nothing, and keeping the bank's confirmation until the balance updates is the difference between a routine payment and a support case. If a payment does go astray, the confirmation with its reference and timestamp is what allows support to find it, and the wider escalation path is described under complaints.
Where this route earns its place
Arguments for
- Every movement is recorded on your own bank statement
- No third-party wallet fee or exchange spread
- Well suited to larger amounts
- Works in both directions, unlike a prepaid voucher
Arguments against
- The slowest option in both directions
- Idle over weekends and holidays
- A mistyped reference stalls the payment entirely
- Some banks decline transfers to gambling merchants
For a payout, the same route returns the money to the account it came from, in the name of the account holder. The mechanics of the request are covered under withdrawals, and the funding sequence under how to deposit.
The legal reality behind the transfer
Sending money by bank transfer feels more official than any other route, and it is worth being clear that the feeling is not regulatory protection. Cazeus holds no Slovenian concession, because a concession for online games of chance can be granted only to a company established in Slovenia, in practice Loterija Slovenije and the Casino Portorož and HIT group. FURS supervises the sector and orders the blocking of unlicensed domains; it does not recall a transfer or arbitrate a payout dispute. Winnings from games of chance are taxable in Slovenia under rules and rates published by FURS. Alternatives are compared on the payments hub.
